R.V Mekong Navigator is a 5-star vessel for river cruises, has specifications: Length 69.95 m, breadth 12.7 m, depth 3.5 m with 34 rooms, 72 passengers.
RV Mekong Navigator was been sea trial on the Nha Be river to Dong Nai river.
Along with the supervision of VR class, all the features of vessel has been tested accordance with the approved procedure and achieved good results.
Currently, RV Mekong Navigator is moored at the Saigon Shipmarin wharf to complete remaining-procedures before going into operation. It is expected that this vessel will be into operation in September 2014.
]]>The vessel “ASIAN JOY” just was launched on October 8, 2010 at SAIGON SHIPMARIN Co., Ltd. This is a second general cargo vessel 6500 DWT of the shipbuilding contract signed between SAIGON SHIPMARIN COMPANY and KANEMATSU CORPORATION for Ship-owner UNITRA MARITIME COPANY.

Breadth molded: 17.00 m
Depth molded: 11.50 m
Load draft: 7.00 m
Speed: 13.8 knots
Main engine: HANSHIN LH41LA
Maximum continuous output: 2647 KW at 240 RPM
The ship launch was successful with the first time the whole of superstructure, machinery and equipment and whole of cargo crane system as well as every other system had been installed already on the ship before launching. This reduces production cost and the time to complete fitting works on the ship after launching.
Now SAIGON SHIMARIN Co., Ltd. is mobilizing all technicians and workers of company to carry out the remain works and testing ship equipment systems in order to finish construction of this vessel and will carry out sea trails and deliver in the end of December this year.

On 19th March 2014, Saigon Shipbuiding and Marine Industry Ltd Co., has collaborated with Hoa Sen Yacht Ltd Co., to organize the launching ceremony for RV.Mekong Navigator.
The ceremony was held in the solemnly spirit, savings with the presence of those attending as: Mr Ngo Tung Lam – Vice General Director of Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, Ship-owner’s representatives, representatives of tourism – international travel companies, the sub-contractor, Class,… Launching ceremony was completed at 11:30 on the same day and the ship has launched safety and successfully.

SAIGON SHIPMARIN company just holded a ceremony of delivery the first general cargo ship 6500 DWT named ASIAN INFINITY on the 10th of June, 2010 at the company jetty located at district 7 Ho Chi Minh City. This ship is one of the cargo ship 6500 DWT series ordered to build for Japanese shipowner UNITRA MARITIME company with designing of AZ Japanese company and she had been surveid by NK classification.

According to production plan of year 2010 the cargo vessel 6800 DWT number one is being carried out checking and testing at quay all machineries and systems . The sea trails test will be carried out in the middle of September 2010 and after that the ship will be entered to operating.

Recently, all hull’s blocks have completed and going to be ready for erection on this September and steel works will be completed on track end of November 2013.
